Overview
Versuno develops essential memory and context infrastructure specifically designed for artificial intelligence applications. At its core is memloom, an open-source memory engine tailored for AI agents. This engine is built on Postgres, offering a robust and familiar database foundation.
memloom: Open-Source Memory Engine
memloom is released under the Apache-2.0 license and is implemented in TypeScript. A key feature is its ability to run entirely locally, leveraging PGLite within Postgres, ensuring consistent performance from development to deployment. The system intelligently handles memory conflicts; instead of automatically overwriting new information, it flags contradictions for human review, allowing users to decide the correct state and revert changes if necessary.
The engine integrates various data retrieval methods—relational, vector, keyword, and graph—all operating within a single Postgres database. This unified approach simplifies data management and ensures that the local development environment is byte-identical to any future cloud deployment. Versuno is also developing memloom cloud, which will be a paid, hosted version of the memloom engine, providing a managed service for those who prefer not to self-host.
