Overview

How mixus Works

mixus operates as an email-based AI agent system designed for legal workflows, integrating directly with Microsoft Word. Users can forward legal matters to their mixus agent via email, optionally CC'ing reviewers. The agent then processes the request and returns work products such as redlines, drafts, analyses, and spreadsheets as reviewable files within the same email thread.

The platform learns from a firm's past work and attorney decisions to generate "playbooks." These playbooks capture how a firm reviews work, storing preferred language, fallback positions, and terms to flag, all scoped by client, contract type, or practice area. Every attorney review, whether accepting, editing, or dismissing suggestions, improves the agent's future runs. Repeated patterns can be proposed as new rules for attorneys to approve, ensuring firm standards are consistently applied across similar matters.

Key Use Cases

  • AI Redline: Expedites contract review by returning markups with track changes, cited reasons for each modification, and a comprehensive issues list.
  • Deal Modeling: Generates financial models like cap tables and M&A waterfalls as live Excel files, ready for immediate editing and learning from prior models.
  • Word Add-in: Allows attorneys to interact with mixus suggestions directly within Microsoft Word, facilitating in-place acceptance, editing, or dismissal without switching applications.
